SAN ANTONIO — With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the sixth inning, freshman Raynelle Nash (San Antonio) made her first career hit count, as she drove a double to the right-center field wall, scoring two runs and giving the Rattlers the lead. A walk to Miranda Medina (Jr., San Antonio) gave the Rattlers their fourth run of the inning, securing a 5-3 victory over Colorado Mines.

Ashley Mills (Jr., Thornton, Texas) picked up her first win as a Rattler, pitching five complete innings in relief. Mills gave up one run on three hits, striking out six Colorado Mines batters.

After CSM jumped out to a 3-0 lead, Sydney Wellmann (Sr., Brenham, Texas) started the fifth inning by launching the first Rattler homer of the season to the Rattler bullpen in left field. The blast was Wellmann's fourth in her Rattler career dating back to last season.

The Rattlers will be in action Friday as they host Lubbock Christian and Texas A&M-Commerce in Day 2 of the St. Mary's NCAA D-II Classic.
