SAN ANTONIO — Trailing by double-digits in the third quarter, the St. Mary's Rattlers found a way to a 57-55 victory against St. Edward's in the "Battle of the Saints" Thursday evening inside Bill Greehey Arena.
 
Trailing by five at the start of the second half, the Rattlers were barraged by a Hilltoppers offense that scored six unanswered points.
 
St. Mary's immediately responded with an 11-0 run, tying the game, 34-34, midway through the third period.
 
Down the stretch, both teams traded baskets as the Rattlers were able hang on to the two point victory.
 
In her first start of the season, Mariah Lee (Sr., Houston, Texas) tallied 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field. Lee also added three rebounds as she helped establish the Rattlers in the paint early in the contest.
 
Freshman, Arysia Porter (San Antonio) notched a game-high 15 points, grabbing five boards and five steals.
 
As for Kiara Etheridge (Jr., San Antonio), it was another all-around performance as she scored 14 points on 7-of-13 shooting while collecting eight rebounds.
