No. 17 @StMUWBB win streak stopped in Kingsville

KINGSVILLE, Texas — St. Mary's Women's Basketball was handed only its second loss of the season on Tuesday at the hands of the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas as they fell 57-43.
 
Earlier in the day, the Rattlers (8-2) moved up on the D2SIDA National Poll to No. 17 after being ranked No. 19 following their victory against then-ranked No. 22 West Florida.
 
After taking a four-point lead to the halftime break, the Rattlers were offense was kept in check as they were outscored by the Javelinas 20-6 in the third quarter.
 
Kiara Etheridge led all scorers with 20 points to go along with nine rebounds and four steals. LaBraile Fields added eight points, six rebounds and nine steals as Kealani Marquez posted five points and five rebounds.
 
The Rattlers will return home on Saturday to begin conference play against Rogers State. Coverage begins at 12:30 p.m. on the Rattler Network.
