@StMUvolleyball bested on road by conference leading Lions

FORT SMITH, Arkansas — St. Mary's lost to the Heartland Conference lead UA Fort Smith Lions on Thursday night in straight sets, 3-0.
 
The Rattlers, coming off a victory over Huston-Tillotson on Tuesday, struggled against the Lions in the second of a four-match road trip, despite nine kills and a block from Tarine Grace (Jr., San Antonio).
 
Channing Hankins (So., Katy, Texas) contributed seven kills, 13 digs and a service ace while Bree Perry (Fr., Houston, Texas) tallied 25 assists and 10 digs.
 
With a 6-7 record in conference, the Rattlers are two games out of postseason contention as they face must-win contests against Newman on Nov. 5 and Texas A&M International on Nov. 10.
