Strong defensive effort lifts @StMUWBB over TexAnns

SAN ANTONIO — Tuesday night, the St. Mary's Rattlers secured its third-straight victory, defeating Tarleton State 48-36, at Bill Greehey Arena.
 
The Rattlers locked down on the defensive end, holding the TexAnns to single-digit scoring in the first three quarters. For the game, St. Mary's held Tarleton State to 28 percent shooting from the field and 14 percent from behind the three-point line.
 
Kiara Etheridge spearheaded the Rattlers attack with 17 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double as LaBraile Fields added 10 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.
 
Sophomore Arysia Porter contributed seven points and five rebounds while Ciaira Briseno poured in five points off the bench.
 
St. Mary's set its sights on the Thanksgiving Classic this weekend beginning on Friday against East Central at 4 p.m.
