Fields' big game boosts Rattlers past Colorado Mines

LUBBOCK, Texas — St. Mary's Women's Basketball continues its strong start to the season with a win over Colorado Mines 75-61 on Saturday at the Rip Griffin Center.
 
After being tied at the half, the Rattlers entered the fourth with a five-point lead. That is when they would outscore the Orediggers, 26-17.
 
The victory helped the Rattlers finish the Arbor Hotels Classic with a perfect 2-0 record. LaBraile Fields led all scorers with 24 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Fields (Sr., Augusta, Georgia) added four assists and four steals to her totals as the Rattlers improved to 4-1 on the young season.
 
Sophomore Arysia Porter (San Antonio) added 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Destiny Navarro posted nine points off the bench.
 
On Nov. 19, the Rattlers will host regional foe, Tarleton State at Bill Greehey Arena at 6 p.m.
