@StMUWBB drop home opener to Javelinas

SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's Women's Basketball battled against the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas on Monday night inside Bill Greehey Arena, dropping the contest 63-54.
 
The Rattlers were led by a double-double from Kiara Etheridge (Sr., San Antonio) where she posted 13 points and 13 rebounds in addition to four steals in 35 minutes on the floor.
 
Unable to gain control in the post, the Rattlers were outscored in the paint 32-16 despite both teams recording 43 rebounds apiece.
 
LaBraile Fields (Sr., Augusta, Georgia) tallied 10 points, three assists and two rebounds before fouling out as Ciaira Briseno posted 11 points off the bench on 3-of-5 shooting from behind the three-point line.
 
Up next for the Rattlers will be a match up against Texas-Permian Basin in the opening game of the Lubbock Christian Classic on Nov. 18 at 4 p.m.
