@StMUwsoccer outlasted by #7 Hilltoppers

AUSTIN, Texas — A goal from Roxy Cruz Santory in the ninth minute was not enough to put the St. Mary's over the No. 7 St. Edward's Hilltoppers, as the Rattlers fell 4-1 on Saturday.
 
Cruz Santory netted the equalizer after the Rattlers surrendered the first goal of the match in the third minute. The Hilltoppers would score three unanswered goals to finish the match as the Rattlers drop to 8-5-4 overall and 6-4-4 in conference play.
 
Keeper Caitlin McCarrell posted five saves in the match while the Rattlers struggled to find any offense as the match progressed.
 
The Rattlers secured the fourth seed in the Heartland Conference Tournament and will face the same Hilltoppers in the first round next week.
