@StMUwsoccer knocked out by SEU in Heartland semis

AUSTIN, Texas — A second-half surge from No. 7-ranked St. Edward's eliminated St. Mary's Women's Soccer from the Heartland Conference Championship semifinals. 

The Hilltoppers, the tournament's top seed, defeated fourth-seeded St. Mary's 5-0 behind three second-half goals at Lewis-Chen Family Field. 

The loss ends the Rattlers' season and sends the Hilltoppers to the Heartland Conference Championship final. 

Jennifer Boudreau scored two goals to lead the way for the Hilltoppers (15-1-1), who outshot St. Mary's (8-6-4) 15-5 in a rain-filled match that saw nearly a 30-minute delay late in the second half because of heavy rain.

Caitlin McCarrell, back in the net for St. Mary's, recorded one save.
