@StMUvolleyball take rematch over Hilltoppers in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — Five weeks after St. Mary's hosted St. Edward's in thrilling five-set match, the two teams took the floor Saturday in Austin, Texas, this time with Heartland Conference postseason implications.
 
The Rattlers (11-11, 4-5) defeated the No. 2 team in the conference 3-1, putting them one-game out of the fourth seed behind 16 kills from Tarine Grace and 41 assists for senior Rachael Scicchitano, the second most in a single-match for her career.
 
A season-high 24 assists for Amanda Lake along with 13 kills, 12 digs and three blocks from Channing Hankins helped set the tone for the Rattlers who improve to .500 on the season.
 
Coming up for the Snakes is their final homestand of the season beginning with a crucial match against Lubbock Christian on Oct. 28 at Bill Greehey Arena.
