SAN ANTONIO — On the day that St. Mary's Women's Soccer honored seniors Lisa Tomenendal, Shea Dinsmore, Montana Montes, Brianna Shafer and Megan Tomlin, the Rattlers earned a 1-1 draw against Lubbock Christian on Saturday at Sigma Beta Chi Field.

After tying 1-1 in their first meeting in Lubbock, Texas, the Rattlers (7-3-3, 5-2-3) managed to earn another draw after Rachel Gurinsky deposited her fifth goal of the season off an assist from Heather Dawson.

The goal came in the 23rd minute, less than seven minutes after the Lady Chaps took a one-score advantage.

Despite being outshot 17-8, St. Mary's showed quality efficiency placing 50 percent of its shots on goal. Freshman goalkeeper, Erin Longford continues to impress in her first season, recording a match-high five saves.

The Rattlers will conclude the season with a four-match road trip beginning on Oct. 20 when they face Newman.
