#25 MSU pulls away from Rattlers in 2nd half

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — All knotted up at the half, No. 25-ranked Midwestern State scored four goals over a 17-minute stretch to knock off St. Mary's, 4-0. 

The Mustangs struck first for the go-ahead goal in the 69th minute and fired another three minutes later to lead 2-0. They tacked in the final goals in the 82nd and 86th minutes to improve to 7-2-1 on the season and 5-1-0 in Heartland Conference play.

The Rattlers dropped to 2-5-2 on the season, including a 1-4-1 record in Heartland play. 

Former Mustang Dan Johns led the Rattlers with two shots, both on goal. St. Mary's was outshot 32-4, with goalkeeper Jack Moore saving 10 shots in defeat.
