SAN ANTONIO — With the Rattlers trailing by three late in the fourth quarter, the stage was set for an exciting conclusion. After securing an offensive rebound, freshman Arysia Porter stepped up and drilled a three pointer from the right corner to tie the game, 56-56 with 21 seconds remaining, forcing overtime. In the extra period, the Eagles prevailed, claiming the 75-63 victory.

Entering the fourth quarter, the Rattlers trailed by 13, having only led once early in the opening period. An 8-0 run brought the Snakes back within three with less than four minutes left in the game.

Four Rattlers scored in double-figures with LaBraile Fields (Jr., Augusta, Georgia) and Dezirae Elias (Sr., Chandler, Ariz.) each finishing with 14 points. Elias nearly finished with a triple-double, adding eight rebounds and seven steals.

Kiara Etheridge (Jr., San Antonio) put together a monster double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

As for Porter (San Antonio), she ended the game one rebound shy of a double-double of her own with 12 points and nine boards.

The Rattlers will be back in action on Saturday as they take on Newman at 1 p.m.
