Relentless Rattler attack downs Falcons 5-1

LAREDO, Texas — Rattler Women's Soccer (2-1-0) made it two for two in Laredo Sunday as they defeated Texas-Permian Basin (0-4), 5-1 for their second straight victory.
 
St. Mary's outshot its opposition 24-5, holding the Falcons to one shot attempt in the first half.
 
The rout began when Kristal Williams (Jr., Ponder, Texas) found the back of the net in the 27th minute.
 
Rachel Gurinsky (So., San Antonio) added a goal of her own off an assist from Karly Moe (Sr., Wadsworth, Ill.) in the 33rd minute.
 
A corner kick from Natalie Rodriguez (Freshman) set up the final goal of the half, which found the foot of Brianna Schafer (R-Jr., Castroville, Texas).
 
It was more of the same in the second half as Lauren Peck (Sr., San Antonio) and Maren Craig (Fr., Highlands Ranch, Colo.) tacked on two more goals for the Snakes.
