Rattlers blanked by Mavericks

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Offense was hard to come by for the Rattlers (1-2-0) as they fell to the Colorado Mesa Mavericks (1-1-1) on Friday, 2-0.

Colorado Mesa held a 12-6 advantage on shots and a 7-1 edge with shots on goal.
 
Goals in the 55th minute by James McGhee and the 59th minute by Roy Abergil for the Mavericks were the difference in a match that saw four yellow cards assessed between the two teams.
 
For the Rattlers, Mitchell Kilmer (R-So., Frisco, Texas) recorded a game high 5 saves in his first start of the season. Victor Luna (Sr., Sealy, Texas) had two shot attempts in the effort.
 
Up next for St. Mary's is a match up against Fort Lewis in Durango, Colo. Sunday at 2 p.m.
