DURANT, Okla. — St. Mary's Softball continued its red-hot start Saturday, winning two more to improve to 10-0 on the season.

The Rattlers blanked No. 4 Southeastern Oklahoma State 3-0 before outlasting Texas A&M-Kingsville 5-3 on the second day of the Southeastern Oklahoma Regional Invitational at the Durant Multi-Sports Complex.

A scoreless first game was scoreless no more when Vianna Gutierrez Touchtone drew a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch in the fifth inning to take a 1-0 lead over Southeastern Oklahoma State. Taylor Vidrine iced the game with a two-RBI single in the seventh to take a 3-0 advantage.

In the circle, Gutierrez Touchtone struck out eight in a complete-game shutout to improve to 5-0 on the season.

Against Texas A&M-Kingsville (3-5), the Rattlers briefly trailed after yielding two runs in the first inning. But the Rattlers bounced back as they have done all season, with Vidrine and Jennifer Hernandez each driving in a run in the bottom of the frame to even the score at 2-2.

The Rattlers struck for two more runs in the second to lead 4-2, and after seeing the Javelinas make it 4-3 in the fourth Nicole Sardelich singled in the fifth to drive in an all-important insurance run.

Hope Russell win the distance in the game, improving to 5-0 on the season after striking out four and scattering five hits.

St. Mary's will close out the tournament Sunday morning when it faces Washburn at 10 a.m.
