Women's Tennis unbeaten in league play yet again, sweep McM

MASON, Texas — For two straight seasons St. Mary's Women's Tennis has been unbeaten in Heartland Conference play.
 
The Rattlers finished their perfection through conference play after sweeping McMurry in their regular-season finale on the cusp of earning the regular-season title. 
 
The Rattlers downed the War Hawks last weekend 9-0 in their seventh sweep on the season, finishing the regular-season 13-4 overall and 6-0 in league play with a No. 19 national ranking.
 
St. Mary's No. 1 Mariana Rong (Jr., Jinan, China) and the Rattlers' No. 6 Joanie Bryant (So., San Antonio) both denied their opponents a single game as both won 6-0, 6-0 in singles play.
 
With the regular-season now behind them, the Rattlers will now delve into postseason play as they host the Heartland Conference Championship Tournament starting Friday. Details about the tournament including live stats and live video links can be found on the tournament central page

The Rattlers have earned the No. 1 seed in the championship tournament followed by UA Fort Smith as the No. 2 seed and Newman and St. Edward's as the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds.
