Pullins adds another Heartland Player of the Week honor

SAN ANTONIO — Senior Morgan Pullins has done it again.
 
The St. Mary's Women's Basketball star forward dominated the Rattlers' competition last week, averaging a double-double to be named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week for the second straight week, the league announced today.
 
Pullins averaged 19.7 points and 11.7 rebounds for the week and was named the MVP of St. Mary's Thanksgiving Classic en route to leading the Rattlers to a 3-0 week.
 
The Franklin, Mich. Native had double-doubles in two of the Rattlers' three games last week including a monster 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead StMU past Angelo State in the finale of the St. Mary's Classic. She a double-double in the tournament's opener against Colorado State-Pueblo, scoring 17 points with 15 rebounds.
 
Pullins' award this week is the sixth on her career and second this season.
 
Pulllins' stellar start to her final season as a Rattler has her averaging 20.4 points a game which currently leads the Heartland Conference, with 10.3 rebounds which is No. 2 in the league.
 
With a current overall record of 5-2, the Rattlers hope to extend their win streak to four as they take on Texas A&M-Kingsville at 6 p.m. Thursday inside Bill Greehey Arena.
