Rene Solis was named the St. Mary's Athlete of the Year at last week's Athletics Banquet. Solis, also named the Heartland Conference Pitcher of the Week this week after a complete-game shutout of Oklahoma Christian, is No. 2 in the nation with 11 victories on the mound.
