Jarrett Clifton serves as both an assistant coach for the Men’s Basketball team and the Intramural Coordinator, beginning his second season in both roles in 2026-27.
 
Clifton assists Head Coach Bubba Meyer with planning, coaching, travel, meals, recruiting and the organization and regulation of multiple camps.
 
He joined the Rattlers from Tallahassee Community College, where he spent two seasons, seeing the team reach the FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Semifinals in 2023-24. 
 
Clifton spent 2021-23 at Bossier Parish Community College, working primarily with the guards, and in his first season, two student-athletes received All-Region XIV honors and went on to sign NCAA Division I scholarships. During Clifton's first season on staff, the Cavaliers finished with a 16-14 record, including two wins against top-10 opponents.
 
Prior to his time at Bossier Parish, Clifton was a graduate assistant at Angelo State (2019-21). In the 2019-20 season, the Rams reached the NCAA Division II Tournament as a four-seed before the tournament was canceled due to the pandemic. 
 
Clifton has a bachelor's degree in fitness and sport coaching from the University of West Florida (2019) and a master's degree in coaching, sport, recreation and fitness administration from Angelo State (2021).
