Sarah Kuehn

Sarah Kuehn was hired as the assistant volleyball coach in June, 2021, joining the Rattler family from Northern Michigan, where she was a volunteer assistant coach for one year.
 
While on the Wildcats staff, the team won both the regular season and conference tournament titles in the GLIAC. Five student-athletes earned all-conference honors, while NMU also had the league’s Freshman of the Year.

Before moving to the coaching chairs, Kuehn was a three-year standout at Northern Michigan, finishing her career ranked seventh all-time with 352 total blocks. She totaled 54 solo blocks and 298 block assists and added 774 kills. Kuehn was named the team's Most Valuable Player after the 2018 season along with earning All-GLIAC Second Team honors after posting 1.03 blocks per set to finish third in the league.

Her first season with NMU saw her finish with an All-GLIAC Honorable Mention Team honor after leading the GLIAC with 147 total blocks, 125 block assists while averaging 1.36 blocks per set. She was also named the team's Newcomer of the Year.

An education major, Kuehn was serving as a student teacher in New Zealand, however her time was cut short due to the pandemic.
