Lilly Kimbell

Lilly Kimbell, has joined the Rattlers as assistant tennis coach for the 2021-22 season. Kimball played collegiate tennis at the University of Georgia and was the most decorated tennis player in Texas high school history, winning four-straight individual state singles titles and three team state titles for New Braunfels High School.

Kimbell comes to St. Mary's from Eastern Illinois University where she was the women's head coach during 2020-21.

While a student-athlete at Georgia, Kimbell helped the program rank in the top five nationally during all four seasons on the team.  As a senior, she was a co-captain and named to the SEC All-Tournament Team. Following graduation in 2014, Kimbell worked as a graduate assistant for two years in the athletic department earning a master's degree in Sports Management.   

Kimbell has worked as a tennis instructor for Tennis Europe as well as at the Jennings Mills County Club (Georgia) and Apawamis Country Club (New York). Outside the tennis industry, she has worked as a corporate recruiter in Texas for Paycom, Supreme Lending and the Addison Group. 

Before entering college, Kimball was nationally-ranked No. 4 by Tennis Recruiting.net, was the National High School Senior Athlete of the Year, the 2007 Singles and Doubles Orange Bowl Champion and Hardcourt Nationals 16s Singles Champion. She was also featured on the cover of 2009 issue of ESPN Rise.
