Jordan VanTimmeren

Jordan VanTimmeren, neè Wait-Parker, was named the inaugural coach for the St. Mary’s STUNT program on Sept. 27, 2021 and was tasked with building a sport from the ground up.

The 2024 campaign saw the Rattlers qualify for Nationals for the second-straight season and finish second at the inaugural Lone Star Conference Championship.  St. Mary’s had 10 student-athletes named to the inaugural Lone Star All-Conference teams, five on the First Team and five on the Second Team. Flyer Alecka Brown, backspot Courtney McClellan, backspot Jocelyn Mendez, backspot/tumbler Allysin Quintanilla and backspot Isabel Soto were all named to the First Team. Tumbler Sydnye Forde-Richins, tumbler M’Lynn Griego, backspot Ivy Denay Hernandez, flyer Yanelle (Alex) Nicholson and base Riley Smith all earned spots on the Second Team. The Rattlers also had a quartet voted to the All-Academic team in Sanaa Johnson, Alex Nicholson, Sydnye Forde-Richins and Riley Smith.

In 2023, she and the Rattlers took the STUNT world by storm, becoming the only First Year program to qualify for Nationals, earning the No. 7 seed. The team was 4-2 in the Southwest Conference. A trio of Rattlers earned All-American honors in Yanelle Nicholson (First Team), Sanaa Johnson (Second Team) and Alecka Brown (honorable mention).

VanTimmeren has been extremely involved in helping STUNT become an NCAA Emerging Sport and helped the Lone Star Conference become only the second league to sponsor a championship. The inaugural championship will take place on March 23, 2024 at the site of the regular season champion.

VanTimmeren was a two-time STUNT National Champion at Davenport, a two-time All-American as well as a winner of the NCA National Championship in Cheer. 

Prior to Davenport, she competed in both cheer and track & field at Lewis University. 

She was born and raised in Bloomington, Illinois where she was an Allstar cheerleader from ages four to eighteen. Van Timmeren also started coaching at a young age, spending her high school career coaching, helping the Lions Cheer Company qualify for Worlds and win Grand Champions titles in both 2013 and 2014.

VanTimmeren and husband, Carter, were married in December, 2022 and reside in San Antonio.
