Haley Richter joined the Rattlers' coaching staff for the 2015-16 season after a star-studded four-year career on the diamond. Named the Heartland Conference Woman of the Year in 2015, Richter helped lead St. Mary's to the regional championship game in back-to-back seasons a junior and senior. As a senior, her Rattlers burst through, defeating Tarleton State to win the Super Regional championship and advance to the College World Series for just the fourth time in school history.Â
As a senior, Richter was named First-Team All-Heartland Conference following a banner year with a career-best .347 batting average to go along with 48 RBIs and five home runs.Â
The former first baseman holds the Rattlers' all-time record for fielding percentage and putouts, and is tied as the all-time NCAA leader for grand slams in a season.
She was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team as a senior.
