RICHARDSON, Texas — For the second-straight week, St. Mary's University right-side hitter
Laurene Robinson has been named the Lone Star Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
Robinson hit .414 with 41 kills in the Lone Star Conference openers against No. 6 Angelo State and UT Permian Basin. On Friday, the Bedford, Texas native smashed 26 kills and hit .489 in pushing the Rambelles to a fifth set. She added 17 digs, seven blocks, five assists and two service aces over the two matches. Robinson has had double-digit kills in all 12 matches this season and has gone over 20 five different times.
She becomes the first Rattler to ever win the Lone Star Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks and only the second to win a weekly honor twice in a season, joining Cali Nims, who was named Setter of the Week twice in 2024.
St. Mary's continues LSC play this week at Lubbock Christian on Friday and Midwestern State on Saturday.
