SAN ANTONIO — The No. 3 Texas Woman's University Women's Basketball team limited opportunities for St. Mary's University to score on Thursday night, holding the Rattlers to a season-low three offensive rebounds in a 69-57 TWU win.

The Pioneers (14-1, 8-0 LSC) out-rebounded the Rattlers (9-5, 4-4) 35-to-23 on the night, and sophomore
Christin Callens (Houston) was the only Rattler with an offensive board, as the other two were team rebounds.

Callens led the team with 15 points, while junior
Allie Garcia (Adelaide, South Australia) chipped in 10.

The Rattlers made all six of their free throw attempts, including two from Callens and three by senior
Quezia Bertoni (Sao Paulo, Brazil), while TWU was 8-for-10 at the charity stripe.

Sophomore
Raynne Malik (London, Ontario) led the team with eight rebounds and blocked four shots, while junior
Andrea Montesinos (Valencia, Spain) came off the bench to lead the team with three assists.

TWU senior Gabby Elliott led the Pioneers with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Kayla Glover had a game-high six assists and Averee Kleinhans added five steals.

The Pioneers led the entire game, and it marks the first time this season that the Rattlers never led.

St. Mary's hosts UT Tyler on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Patriots won 47-44 at St. Edward's on Thursday evening.
