NORMAN, Okla. — The St. Mary's University Men's Golf team is ranked No. 13 in the Bushnell/Golf Week DII Preseason Coaches Poll, the GCAA announced Friday.
It is the first time since the 2019-2020 preseason poll that the Rattlers have been in the top-25 to begin a season. That team was ranked No. 10, ending the year in the same position.
The Rattlers finished seventh at the 2025 NCAA National Championship, advancing to medal-match play, where they lost in the quarterfinals. All five golfers who competed at the NCAA Championship return to the roster for 2025-26, including GCAA Ping All-Americans
Baptiste Touchard (Third-Team) and
Guillaume Paquette (Honorable Mention).
Defending national champion West Florida received 13 of the 15 first-place votes and 373 to top the poll. North Georgia, which knocked StMU out of the national championship, was voted second with 347 points, while Lincoln Memorial (307), Florida Southern (296) and Lee (277) round out the top five.
Lone Star Conference foe Oklahoma Christian received one of the two remaining first-place nods, coming in seventh with 244 points.
St. Mary's begins the 2025-26 season at the Travis Roy Memorial in Sheridan, Wyoming on Sept. 15-16.
