FRISCO, Texas — After an unbelievable first season, St. Mary's University Women's Basketball freshman
Christin Callens has been honored on the Lone Star All-Conference Second Team and the All-Freshman squad.
Callens, from Houston and Klein Collins High School, broke the St. Mary's single-season scoring record by a freshman, collecting 402 points to rank sixth in the Lone Star Conference with 14.4 points per game. She also ranked sixth in field goal percentage, making 48.6 percent of her shots, and 10th in free throw percentage at 74.3 percent. She also finished second on the team with 5.43 rebounds per game, starting all 28 games for the Rattlers.
Callens was the only Rattler selected to the Lone Star teams after the team finished 14-14 overall and 10-12 in the conference.
