SAN ANTONIO — After playing in a pitcher's duel on Sunday, the hitters on the St. Mary's University Baseball team said Tuesday it was their turn to show what they were made of, as the Rattlers scored 11 runs on 13 hits in an 11-10 come-from-behind win against Our Lady of the Lake.
Senior Jake Elizondo (San Antonio), senior
Trey Guajardo (San Juan, Texas) and junior
Matt Gauna (San Antonio) all recorded three hits in the game, while Gauna drove in three runs. Senior
Brendan Concannon (Flower Mound, Texas) seemed to break out of his early slump, going 2-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored.

Jacob King (San Antonio) drove in the winning run, as he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth. It was his second RBI of the game.
It was a pitch-by-committee day for the Rattlers (7-2), as nine pitchers took the hill. Senior
Cameron Hodges (San Antonio) worked a scoreless ninth to pick up his first win of the year. Sophomore
Ryan Romine (San Antonio) was the lone pitcher to retire the side in order, striking out one in the fourth.
The Saints (4-8) scored their 10 runs on nine hits, led by Drew Saucedo with a three-hit day. Jack Kalisky took the loss, pitching 1/3 of an inning, allowing one run on one hit with three walks and a hit batter.
The Rattlers have this weekend off from action, returning to the diamond on Friday, Feb. 21 when they host Lubbock Christian for a four-game series.
