ODESSA, Texas — The St. Mary's University Women's Soccer team stretched its unbeaten streak to five straight with a 3-0 win at UT Permian Basin on Saturday afternoon.
The Rattlers (8-5-3, 7-4-2) are 3-0-2 in their last five matches and are in sixth place with one match remaining on the regular season schedule, as they play seventh-place Lubbock Christian on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
St. Mary's outshot the Falcons (3-10-3, 2-10-2) 14-to-6 with seven shots on goal. Junior
Elena Kossler (Ötztal-Bahnhof, Austria) led the team with three shots on goal, scoring three points with the game-winning opening goal in the 37th minute and an assist to senior
Shelby Paniagua (Cibolo, Texas) in the 77th minute.
The goal is the 13th of the season for Kossler, and she has at least two points in each match during the five-match unbeaten streak. She also has at least one shot on goal in nine straight games and in 15 of the 16 this season.
Paniagua scored a goal for the second-straight match and posted her 10th of the year. She also has at least one shot on goal in nine straight.
Marily Garza Contreras (Duncanville, Texas) added the final nail, scoring her second goal of the year in the 81st minute.
Senior goalkeeper
Haley Faucette (Burlington, S.C.) made four saves in her second-straight clean sheet. She has four solo shutouts and one combined shutout this season to go along with 65 saves.

Valerie Hover (McKinney, Texas) at center back was the only other Rattler to play the entire 90 minutes.
