LAWTON, Okla. — For the third time in 2025, the St. Mary's University Men's Basketball team needed an extra five minutes to decide the outcome of a game, and for the third straight time the Rattlers turned up the heat, winning 91-79 at Cameron on Thursday night.

The Rattlers scored 20 points in overtime to stretch their conference winning streak to eight and overall streak to five straight, improving to 11-4 on the year and 8-1 in Lone Star Conference play.

Junior
Damani Claxton (Bronx, N.Y.) scored 12 of his career-high 27 points in the extra period, topping the 20-point milestone for the third-straight game and the seventh time this season. Claxton didn't miss a shot in OT, going 3-for-3 from the field and 6-for-6 from the free throw line to outscore the Aggies (6-10, 3-7) by himself.

Claxton led a quartet of Rattlers in double-digit scoring as senior
Lachlan Bofinger (Sydney, Australia) posted his eighth double-double of the year with 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. He also led the team for the sixth straight game in assists with three. Both senior

Wayne Wiggins (Mansfield, Texas) came off the bench to add 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Eddie McPhee (Denver) narrowly missed his first double-double in the Gold and Blue, scoring nine and bringing down nine boards and junior
Eman Lawal (Mississauga, Ontario) tied for game-high honors with two blocked shots.

Cameron's leading scorer on the season, Jaxon Ingram, was held to six points by the Rattlers, while Aaron Jacob was a thorn in the Rattlers' side, scoring 25. Miles Gurske added 17 points, while Reggie Prudhomme was close to a double-double with 14 points and eight assists.

The Rattlers continued to pound the ball inside, scoring a season-high 62 points in the paint. The team shot 57.4 percent from the field, the second-highest percentage of the year, making only two three-pointers on the night.

StMU also won the battle of the boards, 40-to-36, but only collected 11 rebounds on offense compared to 19 for the Aggies. Cameron recorded more boards on offense than defense, 19-to-17.

The Rattlers finish up their four-game road trip on Saturday at Oklahoma Christian. Game time is approximately 3 p.m. The Eagles edged out St. Edward's 74-71 on Thursday evening, outscoring the Hilltoppers 6-0 over the final 6:17.
