SEGUIN, Texas — Playing their first match in 18 days after having a pair of matches canceled due to inclement weather, the St. Mary's University Women's Tennis team didn't seem to need to shake any rust off as they swept Texas Lutheran, 9-0, on Wednesday evening.

The Bulldogs only managed to win one game the entire match, taking a game at number one doubles against the #13 team in Division II.Â

All six singles players for the Rattlers,
Selina Wu (No. 1),
Paula Garrote (No. 2),
Alessia Terlizzi (No. 3),
Janel Ospanova (No. 4),
Stela Sifuentes (No. 5) and
Karen Kondo (No. 6) won by identical scores of 6-0, 6-0.

Doubles play started the match in the same vein as the No. 2 team of Garrote and Terlizzi and the duo of Sifuentes and Ospanova at No. 3 both won 8-0, while Wu and Kondo won 8-1 at No. 1.

The Rattlers face Southern Arkansas on Saturday and Central Oklahoma on Sunday. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on the UT Tyler campus.
