SAN ANTONIO — The St. Mary's University Women's Basketball started slow on Saturday afternoon, but finished with a 22-point fourth quarter in a 68-47 loss to UT Tyler.

The Patriots (15-3, 9-0 Lone Star Conference) scored the first 22 points of the game, with the Rattlers (2-12, 2-6 Lone Star) scoring the final bucket of the first stanza on a three-pointer by freshman
Ramsey Robledo (San Antonio).

StMU bounced back to outscore UTT 11-to-8 in the second quarter and 22-to-11 in the fourth quarter but were unable to make up the difference.

Robledo led the Rattlers with 13 points and nine rebounds, tying her career high in boards and ending two shy of her career-high of 15 from Nov. 11 against Regis. Junior
Stina Svilberg (Tallinn, Estonia) scored a season-best 11 points and had two of the team's four steals.

The Rattlers did a nice job of sharing the ball, recording 12 assists on 16 baskets, and turning the ball over only 10 times, tying the season-low mark and giving the team a positive assist-to-turnover ratio for the fourth time this season.

Martina Machalova led the Patriots with 21 points, while Gabby  Elliott led with seven rebounds.

StMU shot better from the field each quarter, ending by connecting on 46.2% in the fourth quarter and making four of its five three-pointers.

St. Mary's remains at home, hosting UAFS on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. for Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night. The Lions dropped a 100-79 decision to Texas A&M International on Saturday.
