SAN ANTONIO – In the first exhibition match of the 2023 season, the No. 9 St. Mary's Men's Soccer team won a 2-0 decision over Coastal Bend College on Tuesday (Aug. 15).
The teams played three 30-minute periods to kick off the 2023 campaign and both goals were scored in the second period. Five minutes in senior transfer
Nadav Datner (Ya'ad, Israel) scored on a penalty kick for the 1-0 lead. Fourteen minutes later
Jose Llano (Mexico City, Mexico) added a second goal.
The Rattlers take to the road, facing UTRGV on Saturday in Brownsville for a 6 p.m. start. The team returns home for the final exhibition, hosting Concordia (TX) at 7:30 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the Women's Soccer team.
