RICHARDSON, Texas – The St. Mary's Men's Tennis team snapped a four-match losing skid with a 7-0 sweep at UT Dallas on Sunday.

The Rattlers (6-4) got back to their victorious ways by taking eight of the nine matches for their third sweep of the year.

After winning two of the three doubles bouts, three of the six Rattlers competing in singles won in straight sets.

"This was a good win for us against a tough team," said Director of Tennis
Bill Macom. "The guys did a good job navigating the windy conditions and made the right adjustments in their games."

Alvaro Soler (Alicante, Spain) got the ball rolling at #1 singles with his 6-4, 6-3 score. Junior
Ryan Koth (Boerne, Texas) was the next Rattler to cross the finish line with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at #3.

Daniel Matheu Baldor (Madrid, Spain) dropped his first set 6-4, but rebounded with a pair of 6-2 sets for the win at No. 2. Junior
Jake Faryniarz (San Antonio) also lost his opening set, 6-2, but found his groove in the second set to win 6-3, 6-4 in the fifth spot.

After dropping the opening set in a tiebreak 7-6 (7-3), junior
Oskar Irdoja (Tallinn, Estonia) lost only three games in the final two sets, winning 6-0, 6-3 and senior
Sebastian Azcui (La Paz, Bolivia) wrapped up the night with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at #6.

The Rattlers have a rematch with Our Lady of the Lake scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday before embarking on the Spring Break trip to Florida.
