SAN ANTONIO – For the second-straight season in the Battle of the Saints, the road team came away victorious in each contest. On Thursday evening, St. Mary's dropped Senior Night to St. Edward's, 75-66.

Senior Emmanuel Ewuzie (San Antonio), one of five seniors honored before the game, posted the second double-double of his career with 12 points and a team-high 12 rebounds. He also tied his career-high with four blocked shots to give him 108 in his career.

Junior Jalon Johnson (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) collected a team-high six assists and Jordan added a game-high tying three steals.

The game featured 20 lead changes and 14 ties and each team held the lead for approximately half of the game.

St. Mary's clinched a spot in the Lone Star Conference Tournament due to the losses by both Texas A&M International and Eastern New Mexico. Seeding is still up in the air due to the three games remaining on Saturday's ledger in the league.

Prior to the game the team honored Parker Gettys (New Braunfels, Texas), Mamady Djikine (Paris, France), Jaron Presley (Katy, Texas), Ryan Leonard (Kerry, Ireland) and Ewuzie. The Rattlers also presented Jordan with a ceremonial basketball celebrating his 1,500th career point.

The Rattlers will find out Saturday evening who they will face in Frisco, Texas in the first round of the Lone Star Conference Tournament, which begins March 3 at the Comerica Center.
