AUSTIN, Texas – The St. Mary's Women's Basketball team saw four athletes score in double figures, but it wasn't enough in the first of two-straight meetings against St. Edward's as they fell 74-61 on Tuesday night.

Junior
Jaedyn Dunn (Houston) tied her career high with 14 points, hitting three of the team's four triples on the night. Fellow guard
Ariah Powell (Detroit, Mich.) scored 12, freshman
Gabby Elliott (San Antonio) added 11 and junior
Teanna Huggins (San Antonio) chipped in 10 points.

Elliott led the team with seven rebounds, while Powell led the club with three assists and senior
Natalia Ryng (Gdynia, Poland) and Dunn each had four steals as the Rattlers amassed 15 on the night.

Powell and Dunn combined for 15 points in the second quarter as the Rattlers attempted the comeback. The team outscored the Hilltoppers 25-17 after scoring only three points in the first period to pull within 10, 38-28.

The Rattlers cut the deficit to eight in the second half, but could get no closer. St. Edward's was led by Lauren Catherman with 15 points, while Morgan Gary had a game-high 11 rebounds.

The two teams play again in 48 hours as the Rattlers host the Hilltoppers for Senior Night on Thursday to close out the regular season.
