TYLER, Texas – The St. Mary's Baseball team couldn't overcome a big first inning for the UT Tyler offense on Sunday, falling 14-3.

The Rattlers (3-5) scored one run in each of the first three even innings, tallying the three runs on eight hits with one UTT (6-2) error, while the Patriots scored 14 runs on 12 hits with three StMU errors.

Easton Parrish (La Vernia, Texas) hit doubles and McGowen swiped his third base of the year to lead the team in that category.

St. Mary's returns home to host UAFS for a four-game series beginning on Friday at 6 p.m. The Lions are 2-1 and in the midst of a four-game series with Oklahoma Christian that was pushed to Sunday and Monday due to inclement weather in Arkansas.
