DALLAS — The St. Mary's University Women's Soccer team encountered one of the hottest teams in the nation in the Lone Star Conference Championship, falling 4-0 to 10th-ranked DBU in the Rattlers first-ever appearance in the title match.

The Patriots (14-0-4) have not lost a match all season and appeared in their fifth-straight LSC Tournament title game, winning for the third time. The Rattlers (11-5-5) played in their fourth-straight conference tournament, advancing to the finals for the first time.

Seniors
Jackie Miller (El Paso, Texas) and
Alexis Truitt (Boerne, Texas) and sophomore
Shelby Paniagua (Cibolo, Texas) were all named to the All-Tournament team after the conclusion of the match. Miller helped limit the first two opponents in the tournament to only one goal, while Paniagua scored two goals and had two assists. Truitt scored two goals in the semifinal victory over Angelo State.
