SAN ANTONIO – A dominating performance at the free throw line carried the St. Mary's University Men's Basketball team to an 87-77 victory over 18th-ranked Colorado School of Mines on Saturday.

St. Mary's made 22-of-23 free throws in the second half and were 29-of-32 (.906) for the game. Senior
Davion Coleman (Houston) sank 10 of his 12 attempts en route to 22 points to lead all scorers.

It is the first time in school history the Rattlers have won both games of the South Central Regional Crossover and the first time since the 2012-13 season the team has started 2-0.

Seny N'Diaye (Dakar, Senegal) helped keep the Rattlers in the lead, grabbing six offensive rebounds and eight total to lead the contest.

Micah Jones (Durham, N.C.) came off the bench to provide a huge spark, scoring 15 points and hitting a pair of key three-pointers to ice any attempts at a comeback by the Orediggers (2-2). Senior
Tyler Caron (Longview, Texas) and senior
Jalon Johnson (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) were also both in double digits in scoring with 14 and 11, respectively.

Johnson tied for game-high honors with four assists, while he and senior
Diego Gonzalez (Arecibo, Puerto Rico) each had two steals.

The Orediggers jumped out to the early lead, scoring six of the first eight points, but StMU grabbed its first lead, 11-10 on a putback layup by senior
Edward Manuel (Lake Charles, La.) for the lone lead change.
