Greene Grabs Defensive Player of the Week

RICHARDSON, Texas – After scoring a big goal to tie the game at #17 West Texas A&M, St. Mary's sophomore Bradley Greene was named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
 
Greene, from Essex, England, helped the Rattlers to a draw with the Buffaloes in the opening contest of the 2022 season. He played all 90 minutes in a StMU back line that surrendered just one goal on 20 shot attempts. The sophomore also buried the game-tying goal from 25 yards in the 52nd minute to secure the 1-1 draw for the Rattlers.
 
This is the first weekly award for Greene as he begins his second season for the Rattlers. The team has this week off from action, returning to the pitch Sept. 7 at Colorado State-Pueblo at 8 p.m. (Central).
