SAN ANTONIO – A great look at a three-pointer rimmed out and St. Edward's made its free throws late as the St. Mary's Women's Basketball team ended the 2021-22 season with a 73-68 loss.

The Hilltoppers (12-16) led by as many as 17 in the first half before the Rattlers (3-25) cut the deficit to two on several occasions, but SEU made nine of 12 from the free throw line in the final 10 minutes to secure the win.

Senior forward
Hannah Wilson (Fredericksburg, Texas) led the Rattlers with 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots. The standout ends her career with 1,333 points, 1,180 rebounds and 137 blocked shots. She owns the school records in games played, games started and career rebounds and ranks in the top 10 in points, field goals made, free throws made and blocks. Her 317 rebounds this season also rank third in St. Mary's history.

Freshman
Faith Phillips (San Marcos, Texas) came off the bench to score 13 and grab seven boards as the Rattlers outrebounded the Hilltoppers 40-to-39. Fellow freshman
Ariana Rosado (Round Rock, Texas) narrowly missed her first double-digit scoring contest with a career-high nine rebounds and a team-high three assists.

Seniors
Christina Baker (Mansfield, Texas),
Mya Culiver (Rockwall, Texas) and
Sydney Hardeman (Allen, Texas) all played in their final collegiate games. Baker had four rebounds and an assist, while Culiver scored eight, grabbed three boards and dished out two assists. Hardeman made another two three-pointers to bring her season total to 72, ending in fourth in StMU single season history.

The four seniors, as well as the other nine players on the roster wrapped up the 2021-22 season inside Bill Greehey on Thursday evening.
