SAN ANTONIO – For the fifth straight match, the St. Mary's Women's Tennis team shut out an opponent, winning 7-0 over the Hardin-Simmons Cowgirls on Saturday afternoon.

In the three doubles matches, the Rattlers (5-0) dropped only won game, with both the one and two teams winning 6-0.

The dominant play continued in singles as senior
Ashley Penshorn (Montgomery, Texas) at No. 2, junior
Gabi Ioannou (Melbourne, Australia) at No. 4 and junior
Angela Vargas (Del Rio, Texas) at No. 5 all shut out their competition. Senior
Maria Garcia (Valencia, Spain) won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1, senior
Alice Thane (Elloughton, East Yorkshire, England) won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 and freshman
Elisa Rodriguez (Houston) dropped only one game at No. 6, 6-0, 6-1.

The Rattlers host Our Lady of the Lake on March 4 at 2, an alumni match on Saturday and a doubleheader against UTRGV on Sunday, March 6 beginning at 10 a.m.
