Opening Tip
•   After an exciting come-from-behind win over Sam Houston in an exhibition game on Sunday, the St. Mary's Women's Basketball team returns home to host Western and Eastern New Mexico to kick off LSC play.
•   For the first time in school history, the Rattlers will be opening the Lone Star Conference portion of the schedule at home. In its fourth year in the league, St. Mary's is 0-3 in openers - all on the road.
•   The game Thursday pits two of the top rebounding teams in the league as the Rattlers rank third with 45.6 per game, while Western New Mexico is right behind the Rattlers with 45.5 a contest.
•   The Rattlers are the lowest penalized team in the Lone Star Conference, committing only 15.2 fouls per game through the first three weeks. StMU also ranks third in the league in rebound margin at +8.6.
•   Senior Tonia Bilic needs three more rebounds for 200 in her career, while junior Bella Hughes is one shy of 100.Â
•   Senior Briley Perkins hit a three-pointer with 2 seconds remaining to lift the Rattlers to a 66-65 win over Division I Sam Houston in an exhibition game on Sunday. For her career (stats vs SH don't count) Perkins has 107 triples, needing 15 more to appear on the St. Mary's career charts. Jackie Woods (2011-14) currently sits in 10th with 122 makes.
•   After two poor shooting efforts at the free throw line, the Rattlers bounced back to sink 10-of-12 attempts against North American.
•   For the first time since the end of the 2019-20 season, the Rattlers have recorded 50 or more rebounds in back-to-back games with 56 against Dallas Christian and 50 in the win over North American. On 2/29/20 the Rattlers had 54 vs. St. Edward's and 3/3/20 they grabbed 53 against Cameron.
