Women's Basketball Victorious in Lopsided Fashion

SAN ANTONIO – All 14 players sank at least one basket for the St. Mary's Women's Basketball game in a lopsided victory over North American on Tuesday evening, 84-21.

The Lady Stallions were the second-straight opponent with a short bench as NAU (1-5) had only six active players.

The Rattlers (4-1) played aggressive early, outscoring NAU 29-2 in the first quarter and held them to 21 points for the night – the lowest opponent total in school history. The previous low was 24 by Trinity on Nov. 20, 1990.

A trio of Rattlers each scored 10 as senior Tonia Bilic (Zagreb, Croatia) and junior Reyelle Frazier (Tacoma, Wash.) both were in the starting lineup and posted 10, while freshman Gabby Elliott (San Antonio) came off the bench to score hers. Elliott was 6-for-6 at the free throw line.

Seniors Natalia Ryng (Gdynia, Poland) and Michaela Kucera (Schwäbisch Hall, Germany) each grabbed a team-high six rebounds, while Ryng was one of four Rattlers with three assists.

The team recorded a season-high 15 steals, led by Frazier's three and for the second time this year (Regis) the Rattlers had a positive assist-to-turnover ratio, 19-to-15.

The Rattlers play an exhibition game at Sam Houston on Saturday, November 26 at 2 p.m. There will be no video streaming of the game, however live stats will be available.
