TAKING THE PITCH
The St. Mary's Rattlers return to the friendly confines of Sigma Beta Chi Field on Thursday afternoon to play their home opener against No. 5 Palm Beach Atlantic. The Rattlers went 1-1 on their road trip out west, taking down MSU-Denver in OT and dropping to No. 8 School of Mines in a two-game slate.

Now, the Rattlers are back with an upset in mind as they welcome the Sailfish to town. Thursday will be the first time that these two schools have met on the pitch, pitting two tenacious offenses against one another. Both teams have physicality and speed on their side and are looking for a statement victory early in the season. It will be a must-see home opener as the Rattlers prepare for their five-game homestand.
