THE RECAP
No. 24 St. Mary's dropped the finale of their two-game road trip to No. 8 Colorado School of Mines, 3-1. Mines (2-0) rode a pair of first half goals to the victory, knocking off the Rattlers (1-1) for the first time since 2000.
The Orediggers jumped out to a lead they wouldn't relinquish after scoring in the 26th and 28th minutes. Bradley Green responded for the Rattlers early in the second half to bring StMU within one. Liam Morrison and Tony Andoyan each recorded a helper on the play.
The Rattlers didn't go quietly on Sunday, placing five shots on frame. However, despite their best efforts, Oredigger keeper Brian Doherty only let one by him all day long. St. Mary's will return to the Lone Star State after going 1-1 on the roadtrip.
