•    St. Mary's was one of three teams to upset the higher-seeded team in the first weekend of the Lone Star Tournament. The Rattlers were the only team to sweep the best-of-three series, winning 16-3 and 18-15 at Oklahoma Christian.
•    The Rattlers are 6-8 all-time against St. Edward's in post-season conference tournaments and 8-9 in post-season play overall.
•    Senior CF Derek Mueller has reached base safely in each of the last 34 games, while senior IF Mitchell Caskey has been on base in 23 straight.
•    The four home runs hit by the Rattlers in the second game at OC is the most by a StMU team since Feb. 28, 2017 at Houston-Victoria, an 18-3 win in seven innings. On Saturday, Fernie Zubia (3rd inning), Brandon Broughton (5th), Mac Papini (7th) and Brian Juarez (7th) each left the yard.

On Tap: St. Mary's continues play in the Lone Star Conference Tournament. A fourth-edition of the Battle of the Saints will kick off the double elimination portion of the tournament. Both teams upset higher seeds in the first weekend of play.

Opponent Check-In: St. Edward's upset top-seeded West Texas A&M in the opening round of the LSC Tournament and is now 17-21 on the season. The Hilltoppers exploded for a 15-run ninth inning in the third game of the series for the 24-5 win. Do-everything Blake Holub leads SEU with a .354 batting average and .696 slugging percentage. Series History: The longest played series in St. Mary's history, the Rattlers hold a 157-98 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to 1947.The squads are 4-4 on a neutral field and 6-8 in conference tournament tilts. This year, the Rattlers won 2-of-3 in the regular season series, dropping the first game 10-1 before bouncing back to win the next two by the identical 4-3 tally.

Last Time Out: The Rattlers swept the Lone Star Tournament opening series at Oklahoma Christian, 16-3 and 18-15. StMU trailed by eight, 12-4, in the second game before fighting back to win 18-15. StMU hit five home runs in the series, including the first two of the year by junior C Brian Juarez and the first one of Mac Papini's career. Sophomore 1B Brandon Broughton and senior 3B Fernie Zubia hit the other two. The Rattlers hit .342 over the two contests with a .645 slugging percentage as 11 of the team's 26 hits were for extra bases and they drew 23 walks -- including 14 in the finale.
