Pair Earns All-Region Honors
SAN ANTONIO – After outstanding 2021 seasons, both St. Mary's Women's Golfers
Monica Dibildox and
Sofia Ruescas were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association West All-Region Team.
Dibildox, a senior from Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, recently finished tied for 13
th at the national championship with a seven-over-par, 223 after posting a fourth-place finish at the NCAA West Region. Diblidox finished in the top five at five tournaments throughout the season, closing out a fantastic collegiate career.
Ruescas, a senior from San Sebastian de los Reyes, Spain was the individual champion at the NCAA West Regional and earns her second-straight All-Region selection by the WGCA. She tied for 29
th at the NCAA Championship. The victory at the West Region Championship was her fourth top-10 finish of 2021.
The Rattlers ended the year tied for third at the NCAA Medal Championship – the highest ever for the program.
