Carney Tabbed to All-Tournament Team
OKLAHOMA CITY – St. Mary's senior softball standout
Abigale Carney was today named to the Lone Star Conference All-Tournament team.
Carney hit two home runs in the Rattlers' (21-23) two tournament games, scoring three of the team's eight games. She also drove in four of the eight. For the weekend, Carney tallied a 1.333 slugging percentage.
The Gold and Blue went 1-1 at their first-ever Lone Star Conference Tournament, upsetting Cameron in the first round, 6-1 before falling 2-4 to host fourth-ranked Oklahoma Christian.
The El Paso, Texas native totaled 10 doubles, one triple and 11 home runs over the 44 games during the year. She led the team with 39 RBI and a .623 slugging percentage. She also paced the club with four sacrifice flies and was 3-for-3 in stolen bases.
